Dirk German

Dirk joined The Brocker Law Firm, P.A., at the end of 2024 as an investigator.  His work with the firm involves primarily field investigative work, including locating, meeting with, and interviewing individuals on behalf of the firm’s licensing board and private professional clients.  Perhaps Dirk’s most important asset in his work with the firm is his ability to disarm what could be adversarial or tense situations and make those whom he encounters feel comfortable, safe, and heard. 

Prior to joining the firm, Dirk had over 25 years of experience as a law enforcement professional in the Raleigh Police Department and then at the State Bureau of Investigation.  He also previously worked as an investigator for the NC State Board of Dental Examiners for four years.  In those prior investigative positions, Dirk had a proven track record in consulting, crisis management, threat assessment, and intelligence operations.  Additionally, he managed comprehensive community outreach programs to facilitate trust between law enforcement and diverse communities.
