Our PracticesFirm History
Doug and Deanna completed their legal education at UNC School of Law in 1992. Following their marriage, they gained valuable experience at separate law firms before both working at the N.C. State Bar. Over the course of several years, Doug prosecuted disciplinary cases and UPL matters for the State Bar, while Deanna fielded thousands of ethics inquiries from attorneys all over the state. Their collective expertise led them to a pivotal decision in 2006 – to establish their own law firm. Since that time, they have built a small, highly focused practice, dedicated to guiding and defending professionals in disciplinary and licensing matters, as well as handling regulatory compliance issues for select licensing boards.
