- Doug and Deanna presented a seminar to the North Carolina Bar Association’s “Start Up Boot Camp” program in October 2010 entitled, “Staying Inside the Lines: An Ethics Primer.” Their portion of the seminar focused on the important ethical considerations of starting your own practice.
- Deanna presented a seminar to the North Carolina Bar Association Law Practice Management Section Council on August 27, 2010. The topic was Recent Developments in Ethics.
- Deanna presented a CLE for the Solo Small Firm Conference “Back to Basics Tech Seminar in October 2010.” Her presentation was entitled, “How not to Commit Malpractice with your Laptop,” which focused on ethics and technology issues.

On April 30, 2010, Carolin presented a CLE program entitled “Top 10 Ethics Rules for District Court Practitioners” to the North Carolina Advocates for Justice in New Bern, North Carolina. She will present a similar address to the North Carolina Advocates for Justice in March 2011 at Belmont Abbey College.
