We have experience defending licensed clinical social workers (LCSWs) and licensed clinical addictions specialists (LCASs) before the North Carolina Social Work Certification and Licensure Board, and the North Carolina Addictions Specialist Professional Practice Board, respectively. We have also represented therapists before the North Carolina Marriage and Family Therapy Licensure Board. Our experience includes independently investigating and analyzing the allegations, preparing written responses to complaints, preparing and representing clients at informal conferences with the Boards, negotiating consent orders, and defending clients after notices of hearing have been issued for a formal administrative hearing before one of these Boards. Our firm also has represented individuals seeking to obtain licenses from these Boards. Because we serve as Counsel for the North Carolina Board of Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselors, we do not represent licensees or applicants of this Board.
