Sherri began working with The Brocker Law Firm, P.A., in 2018 and has over 28 years of office management and administrative experience. Sherri performs invaluable support services, including managing our migration to cloud-based practice management software.
Her assistance is instrumental in the publication of administrative rules. She uses the OAH template to format rules for submission to the Rules Review Commission, drafts Notices of Text and Form 400s, and uses the OAH electronic filing system to submit rules for publication.
Sherri also assists with preparing, filing, and serving documents in both trial and appellate matters, including through electronic filing systems, where available. In appellate matters, Sherri has assisted by preparing the Index and Table of Authorities for appellate briefs and by ensuring the pleadings are filed correctly through the NC Court of Appeals electronic filing system. Additionally, Sherri is experienced in reviewing and summarizing client records including medical, financial, and litigation records.
On a daily basis, Sherri supports the firm’s attorneys by coordinating meetings and conference calls, proofreading and editing documents, providing technical support, and handling all accounts payable and receivable, including the firm’s trust account. She also works with the firm’s attorneys to handle the initial client intake and conflict checking.
